HEALTH CONDITIONS. WE HAVE 5083 CONFIRMED CASES IN NORTH CAROLINA TONIGHT. >>> WE HAVE LEARNED OF SIX DEATHS AT SPRINGBROOK NURSING REHABILITATION CENTER. THAT IS THE LARGEST NUMBER AT A FACILITY IN NORTH CAROLINA. KIRSTEN GUTIERREZ HAS AN UPDATE. >> Reporter: NOBODY AT THIS FACILITY COULD COMMENT ON THIS, BUT WHAT WE DO KNOW IS THEY HAVE 54 CASES INCLUDING THOSE DEATHS. WE LEARNED TODAY OF A NEW DEATH INSIDE THE LAURELS. RELATIVES ARE STOPPING BY TO CHECK ON THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. WE HAVE LEARNED THAT SIX PEOPLE HAVE DIED THERE FROM COVID-19. THE NUMBER OF CASES INCREASING DAY BY DAY ACROSS THE STATE. INTERIM A SIGNIFICANT JUMP IN CASES AT THE REHABILITATION CENTER. THERE WERE 15 ON MONDAY AND TODAY THERE WERE 54. AT THE LAURELS IN CHATHAM THE FACILITY REPORTED ITS FIRST DEATH. >> THEY NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. THESE ARE PEOPLE'S LIVES AND THEY HAVE FAMILIES. >> Reporter: A WOMAN THAT DOES NOT WANT TO BE IDENTIFIED IS WORRIED FOR HER MOTHER WHO WAS A RESIDENT. >> MY MOM TELLS ME THAT THEY ARE VERY RARELY WEARING MASKS. >> Reporter: SHE HAD MANY NURSES HAVE TOLD US THAT THE FACILITY HAS NOT HANDLED THE OUTBREAK PROPERLY. THE CHATHAM COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT SAID THEY DELIVERED 100 GALLONS AND 200 MASKS THIS WEEK. MANY EMPLOYEES COMPLAIN THEY HAVE BEEN ASKED TO WORK AFTER TESTING POSITIVE. THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SAID THAT THE REQUEST IS FAIR. >> IF YOU ARE ASYMPTOMATIC AND HAVE TESTED POSITIVE YOU ARE ALLOWED TO WORK WITH RESIDENTS THAT HAVE TESTED POSITIVE. AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT HAVING SYMPTOMS. >> Reporter: THE FACILITY ASKED FOR EXTRA HANDS AND THE COUNTY PROVIDED THEM WITH TWO ADDITIONAL NURSES. LOVED ONES OF THOSE INSIDE WHERE HE NOT ONLY FOR THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS BUT FOR THE STAFF THAT ARE ASKING FOR THEIR LIFE TO HELP OTHERS. >> THE STUFF THAT TAKES CARE OF THEM HAS BEEN REALLY GOOD. >> Reporter: OFFICIALS TELL US THAT THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF THEIR RESIDENTS AND EMPLOYEES IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE. THEY ARE APPLYING ALL OF THE PROPER PROCEDURES AND WORKING WITH THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT WITH ALL OF THE GUIDELINES THEY NEED TO GET THE RESOURCES THAT THEY NEED TO STOP THE SPREAD. Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, I'm tracking a front that's dropping in on our area this morning. We will end up seeing most of the rain between late morning and say late afternoon as this moves from north to south slowly across our area. I mean, even though we're looking at, you know, a decent coverage of rain here as it moves through the amounts, the totals that we actually see in the rain gauges are going to be pretty light. We're talking about less than 1/10 of an inch in most places. We'll pause it there at lunchtime and we're seeing some showers from Raleigh North through there at noon. It starts to slide southward during the afternoon. At three o'clock, we're drying out from Durham to Roxboro, but seeing some showers from Rocky Mountain to Goldsboro to Fayetteville to Southern Pines. By five o'clock, the rain is over in the triangle but continues to affect folks around Fayetteville, Clinton and Goldsboro. And by around seven o'clock, it has pushed east of our area. We take a look at Durham this morning. We're seeing mostly cloudy skies. Clouds are really starting to thicken up as that front gets closer to us, it's much warmer than it was yesterday. We're starting off with our temperatures in the fifties instead of the thirties that we saw yesterday. So these temperatures heading out are going to be anywhere from 15 to 20 degrees warmer than yesterday. So you don't need a big coat, but a jacket will feel comfortable again. Take along the umbrella too. If you're going to be out at any point today, especially late morning into the latter part of the afternoon, temperatures will be mild in the mid to upper seventies, but we'll have just a few light showers. Durham Bulls are in the middle of a home stand right now. And even though we do have some rain in the forecast, that rain will be out of here by the time we get to six o'clock in Durham, that may still be in our southern counties by that point, but it won't be in Durham any longer. Thursday and Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. All looking nice and dry with some sunshine and game time. Temperatures in the low seventies, at least through Saturday is Saturday looking beautiful temperatures through the afternoon will be in the mid seventies under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. So looking pretty, it's a mild week, normal high 75 and that's what we're seeing through Saturday. But then we see 80 is returning for Sunday. That's not going to be a record. The record for Sunday is 90 but Monday 86 and then Tuesday, we climbed to 89 and the record is 90. So that one is definitely within the grasp. We could end up with a record high on Tuesday. It's the only wet day today. After that, we're dry and we'll see continued warming into early next week.
