PITTSBORO, N.C. — Northwood High School senior forward Max Frazier has committed to attend and play basketball at Siena College. Siena is a Division I program in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference out of Albany, New York. The Saints have appeared in the NCAA basketball tournament six times.

Frazier made his announcement on social media on Monday, one day after the Saints extended an offer.

Frazier also held an offer from Catawba College in Salisbury.

Over two years on Northwood's varsity basketball team, Frazier posted averages of 8.3 points, 6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks. He is a good defender with his combination of advantageous length and effort.

Northwood was one of the state's top 3A teams over Frazier's playing time. The Chargers made it to the 3A state championship game this past season. In the state title, Northwood fell to a Central Cabarrus squad that finished the season undefeated. Northwood finished the year with a 28-3 overall record.
