Northwood center Kenan Parrish receives offer from Appalachian State

Kenan Parrish has reported an offer from Appalachian State University after taking a visit to Boone. Parrish is a 7-foot tall senior center at Northwood High School who helped lead the Chargers to the 3A state championship game. Northwood finished the season with a 28-3 overall record after falling to undefeated Central Cabarrus in the title game.

PITTSBORO, N.C. — Kenan Parrish has reported an offer from Appalachian State University after taking a visit to Boone. Parrish is a 7-foot tall senior center at Northwood High School who helped lead the Chargers to the 3A state championship game. Northwood finished the season with a 28-3 overall record after falling to undefeated Central Cabarrus in the title game.

Parrish shared the news to his Twitter account on Monday.

Over his three seasons on Northwood's varsity squad, Parrish averaged 7.4 points-per-game, 4.4 rebounds-per-game, 0.5 assists-per-game, 0.4 steals-per-game, and 0.6 blocks-per-game. His 7-foot, 250-pound frame has allowed him to be a difference-maker on defense.

Parrish also holds offers from Wingate University, West Point, and Navy.
