Northern Wake Fire Department tanker overturns responding to Raleigh house fire

Authorizes said they initially responded to the area for a fire alarm. When firefighters arrived, it was upgraded to a structure fire.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Five fire departments responded to a house fire on Dewees Court in Raleigh on Monday night.

Authorities said they initially responded to the area for a fire alarm.

While responding, a Northern Wake Fire Department tanker overturned. Authorities said the tanker driver over corrected and ran off the road.

WRAL's Rosalia Fodera reported damage to the home's front windows.

No one was injured in the fire.

One woman was left homeless by the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
