Seven people from North Carolina are facing criminal charges for their actions in Washington, D.C., this week. State Attorney General Josh Stein says he expects more arrests to be made.

Stein is asking anyone who might recognize someone in the videos and photos of the unrest in and around the U.S. Capitol to send a tip to his office at investigationtips@ncdoj.gov.

Joshua Flores, who was part of a group of 10 North Carolinians who traveled to D.C. to protest the presidential election results, agrees. He says anyone who broke the law should be arrested.

Flores said no one in his group went into the Capitol.

"No, no, no," he said. "We are all about peaceful protests. We are all about getting our First Amendment out there, but none of the members in our group were about destroying property and vandalizing stuff.

"That’s not the American way. That’s not the Republican way."

Stein called the actions of those who did breach the Capitol "outrageous, unacceptable."

"Those folks must be held accountable," he said.

Of the seven arrested, all are charged with curfew violation, and three were also charged with unlawful entry. Stein says the FBI and other investigators are using facial recognition technology and good, old-fashioned word of mouth to track down violators.

"The fact is, many people in North Carolina know their neighbors, whether they have seen it on Facebook or Twitter or whatever, and so they can let us know who that person is," Stein said.
