No charges filed in fatal U.S. 70 wreck
Troopers said a vehicle traveling westbound on U.S. 70 lost control near Wilsons Mills. The car crossed the median, went into oncoming traffic and hit another car.
Posted — UpdatedWILSONS MILLS, N.C. — No charges will be filed in a crash that killed a Johnston County woman.
It happened Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 70, near Wilsons Mills.
The state Highway Patrol said Lesly Bronfield, 22, was driving too fast for the wet conditions. Her car hydroplaned, crossed the median and hit another car.
Bronfield died at the scene.
The driver of the other car, Marvin Dodd, 48, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic on U.S. 70 East was backed up while troopers investigated the accident.
