Thunderstorms ground flights across major Northeastern airports, delays expected

The Federal Aviation Administration has delayed and grounded multiple flights due to severe weather conditions on Thursday.

Flights from Washington Dulles, DCA, BWI, Philadelphia, Newark International and TEB are all grounded due to thunderstorms, according to the FAA.

Officials also said flights from DCA, Philadelphia, JFK and Newark International are delayed due to thunderstorms.

Grounded flights are expected to resume between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday.
