<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Fans of former American Idol contestant and Chapel Hill resident Anoop Desai will need to get moving if they want to see him perform in person.

Tickets for the 22-year-old's performance at the N.C. State Fair go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.

It costs $5 to see Desai's Oct. 22 show in the Dorton Arena. Tickets can be <a href="http://www.ncstatefair.org/2009/index.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">purchased online</a> through Oct. 15 and later at the box office.

The State Fair will also feature fellow Idol alum and North Carolina native, Kellie Pickler, on Oct. 17.

Desai was voted off &quot;American Idol&quot; in April after the show's disco-themed week. He is on a concert tour as part of the top 10 Idol finalists.
