According to Murdock, the movie is a holiday romance that focuses on themes of love, grief and second chances. She said it reflects some of her recent life experiences.
“Holiday movies are about comfort and connection,” Murdock said. “This story reflects that — and being able to tell it here, with people and places that matter to me, makes it even more meaningful.”
Filming locations for the movie include:
- Downtown Wilmington
- The Riverwalk
- Southport’s ChristmasHouse
- A residential neighborhood in Porters Neck
- Banter
The movie was developed with support from Nicely Entertainment. It is directed by Collins White, and will also include original music written by Leona Burke and a cast of various local actors.
The movie is expected to premiere during the upcoming holiday season. Distribution details will be announced soon.
