RALEIGH, N.C. — A television reporter accused of peeping into an Apex home last week has lost his job.

Eric Ralph Watson, 34, of 201 Old Grove Lane in Apex, was charged Friday with one count of secret peeping.

Police said a man looking into a bathroom window was spotted by a neighbor last Thursday. The witness alerted police and the neighbors, and a man matching the description of the peeper was arrested the next morning as he approached the house.

Watson was a reporter for NBC affiliate WNCN-TV in Raleigh. The station issued a statement Tuesday saying he was no longer employed there.

Watson has denied the allegations.
