Zebulon Board of Commissioners appoints new town manager

The Town of Zebulon has a new town manager.

On Thursday, the Zebulon Board of Commissioners voted to appoint Gilbert Todd, Jr., as town manager for the Town of Zebulon.

Todd steps into the role after serving as project manager for the Zebulon Public Works Department. A military veteran, Todd has more than 25 years of previous experience, including serving in the United States Air Force and working for the City of Raleigh, Wake County and the United States Department of Defense. 

"As a career public servant and Zebulon native, I am honored to step into this role and help lead the Town in which myself, my wife and my children call home," Todd said. "Whether it’s fostering our budding business climate, improving infrastructure across Town, growing our parks and programming or better equipping our public safety officers, I know our team is ready to take on whatever challenges and opportunities Zebulon faces next.

"I’m grateful to the Board of Commissioners for entrusting me with this role and I look forward to continuing to build a Zebulon that serves everyone."

The contract of former Interim Town Manager Taiwo Jaiyeoba expires on Sunday.
