Zebulon police search for armed bank robbery suspect

Police said officers were called to an armed robbery at the First Citizens Bank on Wakelon Street Friday. When officers arrived, they said the suspect had already left the scene. It is unclear how much money was stolen. No injuries were reported.

Police said officers were called shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Friday for reports of an armed robbery at the First Citizens Bank on Wakelon Street.

When officers arrived, police said the suspect had already left the scene. Police said no one was injured in the robbery, and they are unable to share how much money was stolen.

Police said a K-9 unit tracked the suspect to a Little Caesars parking lot. Police said investigators determined the suspect left that area in a semi-truck traveling south on Arendell Avenue.
