Young person shot in Durham walks up to EMS station for help, police say

Durham police said a young person walked up to an EMS station with a gunshot wound Saturday night. 

According to Durham police, a person under the age of 18 who was struck by a bullet walked up to EMS station #2 on Old Fayetteville Street around 9:30 p.m.

The young person was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

WRAL News is working to learn the age of the victim, where they were shot and if police are searching for a suspect.
