Hello, everyone. I'm meteorologist, Mike Mays in the WRL severe weather center with our forecast update for this Thursday night at a high of 55 at RDU after a morning low of 29 tomorrow morning. Not as cold. We should have a partly to maybe mostly cloudy start. It's a lot of thick upper level clouds 3788 AM later on in the afternoon, you can ditch the jackets because it will warm up. Now it will be cold at the bus stop 35 at six by 10 a.m. We're up to 49 an hour by hour. It'll be in comfortable territory during the afternoon, lunchtime, 5963 for two and three o'clock. And of course, it will be breezy winds from the southwest 10 to about 15 MPH. So we have our eyes on our next storm system that is coming in for the day on Friday. It is out in the Rockies. It'll be making its way into the plains tomorrow and arrive here for Sunday. So let's take a look at the forecast for the day Friday. 63 here in Raleigh, 64 Fayetteville, 58 at Boone how much warming has taken place since they had snow a couple of days ago. Back on actually yesterday on Wednesday, 64 in Wilmington, 63 in City. Now for the day, Saturday, this particular model showing cloud cover in the afternoon, the European showing mostly sunny skies. So I think we'll hold on to the mostly sunny sky. We up the high to 70 because we should see a fair amount of sun and then rain. On Sunday, there will be a chance of rain in the morning. But I think the thunderstorm chance will increase 6789 o'clock in the evening as the winds aloft begin to strengthen some of those winds can make their way down to the ground. That's why we have the threat for strong winds. So it's winds, winds gusting to 40 rain is likely some of it could be heavy and we could have a strong to severe storm risk. We'll watch tomorrow to see if the storm prediction center puts us in a level one risk for severe weather already. We've been included in a low end risk for flooding for the day on Sunday. Any of the heavy rain could cause some localized flooding and also the possibility of flood advisories. So overnight, it's not nearly as cold lows in the low to mid 30 s really shouldn't see the T 20 S tonight. Maybe a very isolated 1, 35 Raleigh 35 Fayetteville, 32 in Roxboro and it's so mild tomorrow afternoon, but there will be a lot of cloud cover, high temperatures in the low to mid 60 s in Fayetteville. Seven day forecast. It does warm up 70 on Saturday, 70 on Sunday. We have a wro weather alert day for the day on Sunday, 90% chance of rain in the afternoon and into the evening. Monday through Thursday of next week look quiet, looks like it's going to be a quiet and cool week. That's our forecast update for this Thursday night. Police said a suspect was found dead Wednesday as officers responded to an active shooter and reports of multiple victims at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Las Vegas police speak about about shooting at UNLV

Police said a suspect was found dead Wednesday as officers responded to what officials of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, called a "confirmed active shooter" on campus.

LET'S GET RIGHT TO NBC INVESTIGATIVE CORRESPONDENT, TOM WINTER, TRACKING DEVELOPMENTS. &gt;&gt; Reporter: AS YOU LAID OUT, RIGHT NOW, OUR UNDERSTANDING FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT IN LAS VEGAS, FROM WHAT THEY'RE SAYING PUBLICLY, THEY ARE GOING FROM BUILDING TO BUILDING, ROOM TO ROOM, TO SEARCH FOR ANY POTENTIAL ADDITIONAL VICTIMS. AND THESE YOUNG WOMEN WERE VERY SMART, THEY WERE ALERT, THEY LISTENED TO THE WARNINGS, THEY ASSESSED THEIR SURROUNDINGS, LIKE THEY SAID THEY HAD A LOT OF WINDOWS, THEY KNEW THAT WAS A DANGER. THEY LOCKED DOWN FOR 30 MINUTES AND EVACUATED. SO THEY WERE VERY SMART. THAT'S WHAT EVERYBODY HAS TO DO, AND UNFORTUNATELY IN AMERICA THAT'S WHAT A LOT OF OUR CITIZENS DO DO, BUT IT'S YOUR LAST CHANCE WHEN SOMEBODY HAS FIREARMS ON A MURDER SPREE. &gt;&gt; THERE IS A REPORT WE'RE HEARING THAT THERE IS NO SIGN OF A SECOND SUSPECT, BUT A LOT OF THE ACTIVITY WE SEE, I ASSUME, IS LOOKING FOR THAT POSSIBILITY IN A CASE LIKE THIS? &gt;&gt; YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO DO IT, LESTER. WE ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK AND SEE IF THERE'S A CONSPIRATOR. SOMETIMES THERE IS, LIKE COLUMBINE HAD TWO. OF COURSE, THEY ASCRIBED TO NAZI PHILOSOPHY. SO MOST OF THESE ARE SINGLE PEOPLE, BUT IF IT LAPSES INTO TERROR OR NAZIISM OR HATE CRIMES, THEN SOMETIMES YOU CAN HAVE MULTIPLE SHOOTERS. &gt;&gt; AS WE SAID FROM THE TOP, WE DON'T HAVE A CONFIRMATION OF HOW MANY CASUALTIES THERE MAY BE LINKED TO ALL OF THIS. BUT I WOULD THINK THAT BECOMES A PROBLEM SET OF ITS OWN, MAKING SURE THAT YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR POTENTIAL VICTIMS ARE, WHERE THIS PERSON WAS. &gt;&gt; RIGHT, WHEN YOU GET DISPATCHED, IT'S CHAOS ALL AROUND, IT'S THE FOG OF WAR FOR THE PATROL OFFICERS GETTING THERE. Thompson played three seasons for the Wolfpack from 1972-1975 and was a unanimous first-team All-American selection and ACC Player of the Year each season.
