Woman arrested after weekend shooting and robbery, Raleigh police say

Raleigh police have arrested Amanda Farrington, 31, in connection with a weekend shooting on Hoyle Drive. Farrington is accused of shooting another woman in the neck.

Raleigh police on Tuesday arrested a woman who is accused of shooting another woman over the weekend.

Police said Amanda Farrington got into a fight with a woman on Saturday before firing several shots at her and taking a pair of her eyeglasses.

Police found the victim with a gunshot wound to her neck on Saturday when they responded to Hoyle Drive near Matt Drive. First responders took her to the hospital with serious injuries.

Farrington, 31, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The shooting remains under investigation.
