Deputies are searching for a man they say crashed during an attempted traffic stop Sunday morning and then stole another car to get away in Wake County.
A Wake County deputy said they saw a man speeding around 10:30 a.m. on Poole Road near Barwell Road and began a chase after he refused to stop. Deputies said the man then crashed on Misty River Drive before stealing another car and driving away.

Deputies said no one was injured and the car the man stole after crashing was recovered.
In a release, deputies said they are still searching for the man as of Sunday afternoon. Deputies described him as 5'7" and 260 pounds, with brown eyes and dreadlocks or braided hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants, no shoes, and black socks.
