Good morning. I'm meteorologist, Elizabeth Gardner. Here's a look at what we're expecting in the next few days. It's going to be a hot afternoon with lots of sunshine today. Highs in the upper eighties to around 90 if we hit 90 in Fayetteville, which is possible that would be the 1st 90 degree day of the year in Fayetteville, spotty storms for tomorrow, especially during the, during the afternoon between say two and four o'clock right now. It looks like those who move out by the evening commute and then we'll be done with it. So if you had outdoor plans for Friday evening or you're just, you know, headed out to an event right now, it looks like it should stay dry after five o'clock. Better rain chances for Sunday, especially during the afternoon. We're going to see increasing chances for rain. Some of the models want to bring that rain in mid morning on Sunday, but we're trending closer to the afternoon or evening for those showers to roll through. Our severe weather threat for Friday is from the triangle area southward and westward. But again, we have a fairly small window for those storms. We'll take a look here with some sunshine starting off on Friday with the skies becoming cloudy around lunchtime. There's two o'clock with an isolated shower or thunderstorm in our central counties and then in our eastern counties between three and four and then that's it. So one or two of those cells could produce some wind damage and that's why we have that level one risk for severe storms. We take a look at what's happening outside right now. Gorgeous pretty sunrise out there. Temperatures are mainly in the low to mid sixties, so feel comfortable. We will hit 80 degrees though, by lunchtime, it's going to be a quick warm up and then 87 for the high for Raleigh and Durham and 90 in Fayetteville, we've hit 89 in the Triangle and Fayetteville. But with that 90 it will be the first time this year. Our pollen counts have dropped noticeably for that nasty yellow pine pollen, but we still have high levels for oak, sweet gum and poplar and even with that chance of some showers over the next day or two, those numbers are still likely to be high. We're just not going to see very much rain on Friday. 73 is our normal high. And starting Saturday, we changed this very warm pattern closer to normal Saturday, but mostly cloudy skies. Then much cooler Sunday a front moves south of us and we'll be on the cool side of that front with cloudy skies. And a few stray showers. And you can see that happening here as we take a look at this map, the yellow and orange color contours are temperatures above normal, but look at all that cool air that comes filtering in, that's going to be with us at least through Wednesday. And then we'll start to see the temperatures rebounding. Definitely a cooler weekend. We'll see partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies on Saturday with a high of 75 and we're looking at rain developing through the day on Sunday with a high of just 63.
