Durham Public Schools will operate under a two-hour delay on Wednesday. A spokesperson with DPS cited severe weather that rolled through central NC as a factor in their decision.

Hello, everyone. I'm meteorologist, Mike Mays in the WRL severe weather center with our forecast, Dave for this Tuesday night. Now, all the severe weather is gone. A very small chance for an isolated shower overnight where you step out in the morning, we're back to the sunshine. It's gonna be chilly 39 by 8 a.m. It'll be a windy start to the day later in the afternoon, the winds subside just a bit, but they're still from the southwest about 10 to 15 MPH. Now, for the kids at the bus stop in the morning, I know there are delays in some locations, but here's the forecast nonetheless. 39 at 639 by eight by 10 a.m. We're up to about 44. It will be a chilly and a windy start an hour by hour for the day. On Wednesday. We'll have brighter skies. It'll be cooler 48 at lunchtime. 51. The forecast high later on in the evening, temperatures will fall into the lower 40. So brace yourself for a windy day. Now, the one system moving on by the second system in the Pacific Northwest already issuing a wo weather alert day for the day on Friday for the potential for strong to maybe even severe storms. We're kind of getting a head start on this system does not look as potent as the one we just experienced. So, for the day, tomorrow, 32 at Boone, 52 in Raleigh, 53 in Fayetteville, it'll be a cooler day at 68 at, at RDU. Today, we had a peak wind gust at 69 MPH. Thursday, the winds will lessen. It'll be warmer. 58 for Raleigh 59 Fayetteville, 45 at Boone. And then on Friday we have a wet day. The mountains may be seeing a little bit of snow Boone 4460 in Raleigh, 61 in Fayetteville, 63 at Wilmington. And again, we're going to watch out for strong to severe storms on Friday. So cannot rule out an isolated shower overnight. Upper thirties to low forties, the lows, 39 in Raleigh 41 Fayetteville. And then tomorrow it's bright, it's windy. It's cooler, low fifties for the highest of about 52 in Raleigh, 53 in Fayetteville. There is your seven day forecast 52 tomorrow. It will be a windy day. 60 on Friday with the w weather alert day. Saturday is cooler and windy winds could gust up to 30 to 3552 to the high of 49 on Sunday. Perhaps another chance for rain by Tuesday of next week. That's our forecast update. Have a great night.
