Two men and juvenile in custody following fight after high school basketball game, deputies say

Two men and a juvenile were arrested Tuesday after a fight broke out after a basketball game at a Wake County school.

According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, a large fight broke out at East Wake High School.

Deputies said they were able to separate those involved and took two men into custody, adding that pepper spray was used during the incident.

During the fight, deputies received a report of a weapon on campus and found a gun inside a car, taking a juvenile into custody.

Deputies said juvenile petitions are expected to be filed.

Authorities arrested and charged 18-year-old Maliki Parker and 19-year-old Omari Battle with simple affray.
