Cary police officers arrested a man known as the “TikTok trickster” on Wednesday.
Brenton Fillers, 56, was wanted in Alabama.

Fillers is charged with fugitive felony larceny in Baldwin, Alabama, according to arrest records.
According to a report from the NBC affiliate in Mobile, Alabama, Spanish Fort Police Chief John Barber said Fillers is a serial con artist.
Barber said Fillers has more than 30 aliases and 30-plus pages of arrest records from across the country. Barber said Fillers enticed women on social media and then scammed them out of cash.
In 2023, Barber said Fillers stole a Spanish Fort woman's car after messaging her through TikTok.
Spanish Fort police received a tip that Fillers was in Wake County. Cary police arrested him at an apartment.
Fillers was being held under a $15,000 bond at the Wake County Detention Center on Friday.
Barber said he's never seen a suspected fugitive be granted a bond.
Wake County records show Fillers has a court date on Feb. 12.
