A woman whom Scotland Neck Police call "a repeat offender" surrendered on Christmas Day on a charge of attempted murder.
Tarniquia Scott, of Enfield, is suspected of shooting two men Monday. Police said she lay in wait and ambushed the two men in a car in 500 block of East 8th Street.

Both were injured, and they drove to the police department where their wounds were determined not to be life-threatening.
Scott, police said, "possesses a violent criminal history and is presently on probation for an assault that caused serious injury."
Scott faces charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and assault with a deadly weapon. She was being held without bond.
