A student was found with a loaded gun Tuesday afternoon at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.
According to a spokesperson with the Wake County Public School system, law enforcement was at the school to arrest the student for unrelated charges. This is when they discovered the student had a loaded gun.

Raleigh Police identified the student as 18-year-old Antwone Coppedge.
The resource officer at the school, along with members of the Raleigh Police Department and Wake County Sheriff’s Office worked together to confiscate the gun.
Coppedge was charged with gun on educational property and carrying a concealed gun, according to court documents.
“Having a weapon on a school campus is a very serious offense. Any student found in possession of a weapon or a facsimile of a weapon on school grounds or on one of our buses will be disciplined in accordance with district policies,” the message sent to families of the school said.
“While we are not allowed to discuss disciplinary action for an individual student, we can note that state law requires a 365-day suspension of any student in possession of a firearm.”
According to court documents, Coppedge is also charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling or moving vehicle.
Police told WRAL News the charges unrelated to the gun found on Coppedge were connected a shooting weeks earlier on Morgan Mills Court.
The message went on to remind families to keep all firearms secured inside your home.
Coppedge was given a $150,000 bond.
