This western Brunswick County town is home to the North Carolina Yam Festival. It's named for a church and was once a thriving tobacco town. It's now home to a new state prison.
This Madison County town is famous for its mineral springs and lies along the French Broad River. It's also along the Appalachian Trail.
This southwestern Cherokee County is just a few miles from Georgia line. It's west of Murphy and east of Ducktown.
This northern Warren County town is named for Henry Wise. It is between Kerr Lake and Lake Gaston, just a few miles from the Virginia state border.
