Roanoke Rapids, N.C. — A Roanoke Rapids woman is accused of sheltering a man on the run from charges that he shot and killed a man during a home invasion last Saturday.
Lt. B.L. Martin said that Tiffany Watson, 24, was arrested Friday because investigators believe that she "knowingly aided" Brandon Watson. He is a suspect in the Jan. 22 slaying of Antonio Jerold Mills, 29, and shooting of two other people at a Ward Drive home.
Watson was charged with accessory after the fact and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a $300,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court Feb. 16.
A second suspect in the shooting, Lester Kearney, was arrested in Chapel Hill a day after the shooting. He was denied bond.
The search for Watson continues, Martin said. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on Watson's whereabouts should call Halifax County Crime Stoppers at 252-583-4444 or the sheriff's office at 252-583-8201. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to arrests in felony cases.
