RALEIGH, N.C. — The body recovered Tuesday evening in the rubble of a burned house at 1005 E. Millbrook Road is that of Miguel Angel-Montez Moreno, 36, Raleigh police said.

Moreno lived at the home with his wife and two children. The three of them were unharmed.

The fire started at about 3 p.m. after a gas explosion, Assistant Fire Chief Rusty Styons said. Millbrook Road was closed to traffic for hours Tuesday as firefighters battled the blaze.

They found Moreno's body just after 8:30 p.m. under a collapsed brick wall alongside the house.

"We had a report from a neighbor that there was possibly someone trapped inside,” Styons said.

Police said there were no indications of foul play in Moreno's death. The cause of the gas explosion was still under investigation.
