Water main break closes Wade Avenue
RALEIGH, N.C. — City crews restored water pressure to two water main breaks Tuesday morning,  Andy Brogden, water distribution superintendent said.

A water main break early Tuesday closed Wade Avenue in both directions near the intersection with Gardner Street. The road remained closed through the day, but was back open by 5 p.m., police said.

A smaller break on Anderson Avenue closed that road briefly.

Brogden warned drivers to be aware of broken asphalt in the area of the breaks, and said that road crews would be on the scene again Wednesday to continue repairs.
