Suspect arrested in Top Ranks Sports Bar shooting

Albert Michael Hudson has been charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury in the Oct. 27, 2007 shooting, according to Raleigh Police Department spokesman Jim Sughrue.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of three victims outside of Top Ranks Sports Bar in 2007.

Albert Michael Hudson has been charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury in the Oct. 27, 2007 shooting, according to Raleigh Police Department spokesman Jim Sughrue. Hudson also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said three people – Jerry Latwan Harris, Anthony Hinton and Everett Orlandrus Mercer – were shot by an unidentified man near the Top Rank Sports Bar at 1915 Poole Road.

The investigation of the case is continuing, and the department continues to solicit information from witnesses to the assaults.
