Kindergarten Registration Set for Wayne County Schools

Parents can pre-register students for kindergarten in Wayne County Public Schools April 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at any of the county's 15 elementary schools.

Parents can pre-register students for kindergarten in Wayne County Public Schools April 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at any of the county's 15 elementary schools.

Please bring the following documentation to register a child for kindergarten:

  • An official birth certificate, immunization records and social security number. Students must be five years old on or before October 16, 2007, to register for kindergarten in 2008.
  • Proof of residence in the county such as utility bills, tax bills, deed of trust or rent receipt. Military families may present a letter from base housing as proof of residence.

Pre-registered students must have a health assessment and return the official North Carolina Health Assessment Report form by the first day of classes on August 25.
