North Raleigh Apartment Complex Catches Fire

Several people were displaced after a fire burned through an apartment building in north Raleigh early Sunday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — An early morning fire at a north Raleigh apartment complex displaced several people, firefighters said.

A fire broke out on the top floor of a building at 4702 Bay Ridge Crossing in the Trestles Apartment complex around 5:15 a.m. Firefighters put out the blaze about an hour later.

No one was injured, officials said, but three apartments sustained heavy damage.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. Firefighters planned to stay at the site for several hours Sunday morning.
