Durham Police: Girl 'May Be in Danger'

Durham police are trying to find Zamiyah Clemons, 1, who was taken from her home Tuesday night by her mother, who does not have custody, officials said.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are trying to locate a 1-year-old girl who “may be in danger.”

Zamiyah Clemons was taken from her home on Dupree Street Tuesday night by her mother, who does not have custody, police said.

Zamiyah is described as a black female, 2 feet tall and weighing approximately 21 pounds. She was last seen wearing white tennis shoes, a pink blouse and blue jeans.

Her mother, April Clemons, was in a white SUV with a male and a female when she was seen on Dupree Street.

Clemons, 21, is described as a black female, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds. She is known to frequent the area of McDougald Terrace.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Zamiyah Clemons is asked to call 911.
