FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man gave away nearly 700 bikes on Friday.

For more than 16 years, Moses Mathis has collected new and used bikes and given them to children in Cumberland County.

Last year, Mathis, who is also known as the Bicycle Man, received the President's Call to Service Award.

The award is given to someone who's volunteered 4,000 hours or more in a lifetime.
