Omuri Williams, charged in Durant Drive arson/murder
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A local man was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with a September case where a body was found inside a burning house, authorities said.

Omuri Terrence Williams, 20, of 1117 Oakstone Drive, was arrested by U.S. marshals at his house without incident.

Firefighters putting out a house fire at 404 Durant Drive on Sept. 27 found the body of Charles Edward Townsend Jr., 23, inside the home. Authorities determined that the fire had been set and ruled Townsend's death a homicide.

Townsend was robbed before he was killed, authorities said.

Fayetteville police said in October that they were searching for two men in the case. There was no word Tuesday on whether a second suspect was still being sought.
