Duke Grad Student Attacked in Off-Campus Home

A Duke University graduate student was assaulted Wednesday during a robbery in her off-campus home, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Duke University graduate student was assaulted Wednesday during a robbery in her off-campus home, police said.

The woman told police she was assaulted shortly before midnight at her home in the 1100 block of Lancaster Street, north of Duke's East Campus, authorities said.

Durham police said the woman was attacked by a man reportedly known to her. Shortly after officials arrived at her home, she was transported to Duke Hospital for care. Hospital officials have not yet reported on the woman's condition.

Duke University police are cooperating with Durham police on the investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
