Man fatally shot in Fayetteville

Police are searching for two men they believe are the ones who killed a man at a home.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man was fatally shot early Friday morning in Fayetteville, police said.

Authorities said they responded to a shooting call at 5456 Wichita Drive. When they arrived at around 12:44 a.m., they found Weldon D. Baker, 47, of Rowland, with a gunshot wound. He later died at the scene.

Investigators said Baker noticed two men in the area acting suspiciously. When Baker said something to them, police said, they shot him.
