FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are investigating a triple shooting outside a bar Saturday that left one person dead and two injured.

Officers responded to calls about a shooting outside the All Stars Bar and Grill at 1204 Bragg Boulevard shortly after 2 a.m.

Witnesses told police that a crowd gathered between the bar and a British Petroleum gas station at Bragg Boulevard and Filter Plant Drive. Two black males got out of a four-door electric blue or purple vehicle, similar to a Lincoln Town car, and talked to three or four females in front of the bar.

Shortly after, the men pulled into the pump area at the gas station and stopped next to burgundy vehicle, similar in style to a Lexus, according to witness statements. The occupants of the vehicles talked, and then left the gas station, heading down Filter Plant Drive toward Murchison Road.

Seconds later, shots rang out as the vehicles passed the All Stars parking lot. Police could not say whether shots were fired from one or both of the vehicles.

Multiple shots were fired, striking at least three men, officers said.

Robert Lee Thomas, 21, of 5770 Aftonshire Street, was taken by ambulance to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead Sunday afternoon.

Rontavius Grant, 22, 5770 Aftonshire Street, and David A. Valazquez, 19, of Hope Mills, were taken by private vehicle to Cape Fear. Both suffere non-life-threatening injuries.

Police do not have any suspects in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Fayetteville police at 919-433-1856.
