Everyone Rides Auto Center Fire
DURHAM, N.C. — Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire at a Durham car dealership.

The blaze started around 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Everyone Rides Family Auto Center at 3323 Holloway St. When firefighters arrived, the front office was engulfed in flames, said Scott Roberts of the Durham Fire Department.

The main building and the vehicles inside were destroyed. Other vehicles near the building were damaged. The property owner said his family operated the dealership for 37 years and then leased it to another company.

“I plan on rebuilding. These people have been mighty good to me and I'm going to continue to make things right,” said Linwood Cash, building owner.

Investigators said they believe the fire started in the front of the building. The exact cause remained under investigation Sunday night. No one was injured in the fire.
