RAEFORD — It's been one week since Brittany Lockleardisappeared from a school bus stop near her home. Deputies are stilllooking for the person who abducted and killed the 5-year-old Hoke County girl.
Wednesday, investigators stopped drivers near that bus stop hopingto get new clues in the case, but the hunt for her killer has apparentlystalled. Hoke County Sheriff Wayne Byrd had hoped the roadblock wouldbreathe new life into the investigation.
He is asking anyone who thinks they might have information about this case to call his department at1-800-496-3803.
The state is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to anarrest.
