LUMBERTON — Lumberton police are searching for suspectsin a fast food restaurant murder that occurred early Tuesday morning. Police say the manager of the Hardee's on West 5th Street was killed during an armed robbery.
Betty Oxendine, 18, made an emergency call just before 3 a.m. Policediscovered her body when they arrived at the scene.
"Our entire corporate family is disturbed and in a state of shock onthe loss of Betty Oxendine," said a Hardees spokesperson. "It's a tragicthing that happened, and we don't know what to think about it."
So far, police have made no arrests. Anyone with information about thiscase is asked to call Lumberton Police at910-671-3845.
