SANFORD — Raleigh not the only place with a big New Year's Eve celebration. Plenty of other towns are parties of their own.
The Lee County town of Sanford plans to send off 1997 with a big party.
Mo Vint, his harmonica, and his musical train will be one of the many acts featured at Sanford's First Night. This is the town's second annual New Year's celebration. 5,000 revelers are expected. Admission buttons are five dollars and are still available at the Sanford Chamber of Commerce.
If you live in the Fayetteville area, you can also bring in the New Year with a big bang.
The Fayetteville New Year's Eve Celebration takes place at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux, off of Owen Drive. The party will include five event rooms with bands and prizes. It costs $40 to get in. You can get your tickets at any Ticketmaster Center. Or by calling 910-223-2900.
