Slick Roads Possibly to Blame for 440 Accident

RALEIGH — Rain soaked roads made for dangerous driving Saturday. Officers found atruck cab upside down in a ditch on the Wade Avenue exit off thebeltline.

Fifty-year-old James Caldwell apparently made a sharp turn and lostcontrol of his truck. Rescue crews worked for nearly an hour to freeCaldwell from the cab.

He was taken to Wake Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.Police believe high speed and wet roads are to blame for the crash.
