— Most people took souvenirs home from the State Fair while others left souvenirs behind. The lost and found items at the State Fairgrounds Office represent a variety of items.

Many fair goers probably had trouble getting back in their homes without their keys. Others are without their daily medication. A few items turned into the fair office prove there are still some honest people left in the world. Acting fair manager Wesley Wyatt says every effort is made to return items to their owners.

As crews clean the fairgrounds there may be other items found. You can check at the fairgrounds office for your missing valuables.

More than 634-thousand folks turned out during the 10 day run. This past Saturday... fair-goers set a new, one day attendance record. Fair officials say attendance, overall, was down about 16-percent this year from last.

Fair officials say that's not bad considering the higher than normal rain fall that kept many away this year.
