Goldsboro Police Probe Shooting Melee

GOLDSBORO — Police have one suspect in custody and are searching for others following a weekend shooting that left one man dead and four injured.
Rague Ricardo DeLeom was arrested near the El Mexi Lindo nightclub on George Street, site of the shootings that occurred about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. Other arrests are pending.
According to police, one man, identified as Salgado P. Emin-Otoniel, has died from gunshot wounds.
Authorities have not said what led to the shooting, nor specified how many suspects they are now seeking.
Hector Mejia was airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He had been shot in the stomach.
Edgardo Martinez was released from Wayne Memorial Hospital following treatment for his injuries. Two other men underwent surgery Sunday and are listed in satisfactory condition.
Carlos Martinez said men came in with guns and started shooting and they shot his brother.
