RALEIGH — The FBI is investigating a death threat against Senator Jesse Helms. Thethreat was left on the web site of a Charlotte radio talk-show host.The man identified himself only as "Andy D."
In the threat, he asks someone to assassinate Helms saying, "if I wasn'tso afraid of prison, I'd put a bullet in him myself." So farinvestigators have no leads.
