<b>APEX</b> — A Wake County man now faces first degree murder charges for killing hiswife.  Police say Allen Holman chased down his wife, Linda, while she wastrying to drive to the police station for protection.

Tuesday, police released tapes of her frantic phone calls for help.Holman told the 911 operator she was going to drive at high speeds to theApex Police Department.  She never made it.

Allen Holman was arrested a short time later.
