CARRBORO — Fire investigators were sifting through what's left of an abandonedhome in Carrboro. They believe someone set fire to the house early Fridaymorning.
When firefighters arrived, the house on West Main Street was engulfed inflames.They say the home has been abandoned for several months.
Investigators are trying to figure out whether Friday's fire could be theworkof the same person who has set more than a dozen arson cases dating backto March 1996.Most of the fires havebeen set during the early morning hours and have damaged vacant buildings. The most recent rash of suspicious fires occurred June 24.
