Military Plane Makes Emergency Landing at RDU

Posted July 29, 1997 12:00 a.m. EDT

— Military officials will be taking a close look at a plane that was forced to make an emergency landing at RDU-International Monday night.

The military plane out of Seymour Johnson Air Force base was diverted to the airport because of smoke in the cockpit. The KC-135 made an emergency landing.

No one was hurt and there is no word on the cause of that smoke.
