TROUTMAN — An Iredell County family is mourning the loss of a father after he triedto rescue his son from a Troutman lake.
Dale Bruce's body was found early Saturday morning in a lake at theIredell Fish and Game Club near Duke Power State Park. Officers say Bruceand his wife jumped into the lake Friday after noticing their son washaving problems swimming.
The 7-year-old boy and his mother made it out of the water alright.
