SALISBURY — Rowan County officials are trying to figureout why four children have died there this year. there is also concernabout how the head of Rowan County social services handled the cases.
The latest child to die was the 2-year-old son of a former prisoninmate who has a history of violence. She had recently gotten custody ofthe boy and is now charged with murder.
State officials say they're seriously concerned with the way the headof Rowan County's DSS handles abuse cases.
