RALEIGH — Due to inclement weather, the North Carolina Department of Transportation's (NCDOT) resurfacing work on Wade Avenue highway ramps originally scheduled for Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 was postponed to this upcoming weekend.
The NCDOT will intermittently close highway ramps on Wade Avenue at the Raleigh Beltline and Blue Ridge Road from Saturday, June 14 to Sunday, June 15, weather permitting.
All access ramps at the Raleigh Beltline and Wade Avenue interchange will be closed except for the ramp accessing Wade Avenue east from the Inner Beltline. Access ramps at the Blue Ridge Road and Wade Avenue interchange also will be closed for resurfacing.
To help minimize the impact on motorists, the NCDOT will not close more than one ramp at the same time.
The NCDOT urges motorists to find an alternate route when possible, stay alert in the work zone and watch for signs with current construction information.
