Nortel President Stabbed

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Clarence Chadran, president of Northern Telecom's Public Carrier Networks Group, was stabbed while in Singapore for a trade show.
Chadran was staying at the home of a Nortel executive. There was a break-in, and Chadran was attacked.
Chadran has had surgery, and is expected to make a full recovery.
Nortel's Public Carrier Networks Group is headquartered in Research Triangle Park.
